Insulation & Energy Efficiency Incentives
Living in a comfortable, energy-efficient home shouldn’t be a privilege. But installation costs stop many homeowners from making the upgrades they need to stay comfortable and keep their energy bills in check. Thankfully, there are rebates and incentives available that can make energy efficiency upgrades, like insulation and air sealing, more affordable.
Sustainergy Cooperative is committed to making energy efficiency as accessible as possible. We keep track of local and federal incentives for insulation, air sealing, and more to help you save every dollar you can on your home upgrade!

If you make qualifying energy efficiency improvements to your home, you’re eligible for the Energy Efficiency Home Improvement tax credit (25C). The tax credit reduces your federal tax liability by 30% of your project costs, up to $1,200. The credit has no lifetime limit and can be claimed every year you make qualifying upgrades to your home.
Qualifying services include:
Projects do not have to meet ENERGY STAR certification to qualify for the energy efficiency tax credit. There are, however, annual limits to the tax credit that vary by measure.
