What is Crawlspace Encapsulation?
Most crawlspaces are designed to work against your home instead of with it, setting you up for an uphill battle. Old, wet, ventilated crawlspaces invite outside air and moisture in and attempt to keep it out of the living space with insulation under the floorboards. Why keep such a poor design that allows discomfort, mold, mildew, and pests to thrive where you live and breathe?
We solve this through multi-step crawlspace encapsulation. We start by applying pest controlling and sanitizing solutions to halt existing issues. We then install a heavy-duty vapor barrier to the floor and lower walls and spray 2” R-14 closed cell foam on the exterior walls in order to disallow moisture and outdoor temperatures from entering the crawlspace. Continuing the holistic approach, we install an air inducer dehumidifier and a moisture monitoring unit so you can live safely and securely in control of your crawlspace.
